Executive Team
Michael Grossman
A commercial real estate executive with more than 30 years of experience, Michael has expertise in leasing, marketing, property management, construction management, investment, and development. A co-founder of HMC, he also heads MAG Real Estate Advisors, a boutique real estate advisory and brokerage firm based in Westchester County, NY, that he launched in 2012. Prior to founding MAG, Michael served as an executive officer at Mack-Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE: CLI), one of the nation’s largest publicly-traded REITs. His responsibilities included overseeing leasing and investments for an office, flex, and industrial portfolio encompassing 33.5 million square feet across 278 properties throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Before its merger with Mack-Cali, Michael was Vice President of Leasing for Robert Martin Company, where he managed a 7 million square foot portfolio of commercial properties in Westchester County, NY and Fairfield County, CT. Michael graduated from the New York City College of Technology and is an active Board Member of Volunteer New York! and the Westchester Business and Professional Division of UJA-Federation of New York. Previously, he was a long-standing Board Member of the Westchester County Association. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
Barry Lefkowitz
Barry is a co-founder of HMC and President and Chief Executive Officer of Huntington Road Advisors LLC, a real estate investment and advisory firm. He is a member of the board of Postal Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: PSTL), an internally managed real estate investment trust that owns and manages properties leased to the United States Postal Service, and ShopeOne Centers REIT Inc., a leading owner, operator, and manager of high-quality grocery-anchored shopping centers. In 2016, Barry served as Interim Chief Financial Officer of Brixmor Property Group Inc. (NYSE: BRX), owner of the nation’s largest wholly owned portfolio of grocery-anchored community and neighborhood shopping centers. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Mack-Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE: CLI) from 1996 to 2014. As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, he was responsible for overseeing the company’s investor relations activities as well as their strategic financial planning and forecasting, financial accounting and reporting, and capital markets activities. Additionally, Barry led the company’s property management and asset management operations beginning in 2004. He served as a Vice President at Mack-Cali from 1994 to 1997. Prior to joining Mack-Cali, Barry served as a Senior Manager at Deloitte LLP, specializing in real estate. He is a graduate of Brooklyn College and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Brendan Kolnick
Brendan, a co-founder of HMC, brings approximately 15 years of commercial real estate investment, underwriting, due diligence, and asset management experience to the firm. Since 2014, he has also been directly involved in MAG Real Estate Advisors’ full line of advisory and brokerage services. Previously, Brendan ran acquisitions at a privately-held commercial real estate investment firm, where he spearheaded the successful acquisition of high-yield shopping centers throughout the Eastern United States and was a key participant in the firm’s capital market transactions and asset management initiatives. Earlier, he served in CBRE’s Valuation and Advisory Services Group in Manhattan. Brendan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Cornell University and a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University, where he graduated as Valedictorian. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
